About Cliftons Hill
Clifton Hill is amongst the most popular tourist destinations in Canada. It is home to a number of hotels, chain restaurants and interesting attractions.
The area has undergone a number of transformations over the years, including a variety of hotels, restaurants and even a theme park. And it’s still undergoing transformations to this day, with the closing of the Comfort Inn on Clifton Hill in order to make way for even more attractions on the street.
Clifton Hill offers nearby access to the Niagara Parkway, the Rainbow Bridge Border Crossing, Casino Niagara, Queen Victoria Park and a stunning view of the American Falls.
The street can be accessed on foot, via car or via public transportation such as the WEGO local transportation bus.
What to Expect
Clifton Hill is rather pedestrian during the day time, especially mid-week. It comes alive during the evening, as bright lights and larger, more energetic crowds, flock to the area attractions.
All vendors take Canadian currency, and many on the street will also take American currency at an exchange rate.
Best Time to Visit
Clifton Hill is open year round, although it is advisible to visit during the warmer months, as walking up and down the sloping Hill can become more troublesome during the winter months.
Visit Clifton Hill for a fun filled family vacation!
Other Areas of Niagara Falls Fallsview District
The other side of Niagara Falls includes the Fallsview District. This area is different that Clifton Hill; it contains fewer family attractions and entertainment options, instead focusing on adults. The attractions lean towards the older side, including the Fallsview Casino, night clubs, high end dining, entertainment at the Avalon Theatre and Scotiabank Convention Centre, and overall architecture and vibe.
